Lets see: Number 1 best event, Pizzeria Uno's has a Gluten-Free pizza, and its DELICIOUS!
I tried Amy's g-free, lactose free pizza, not so good.
Mom has made multiple delicious meals! Including chicken soup and chicken and shrimp over rice (which I have leftovers from and will be eating for lunch momentarily)
Also, I have g-free cookie mix and will be making them in the near future
Saturday I went to have lunch with a friend from high school and I told her I wasn't eating gluten, preparing to have to tell her what it is and what I can't eat when, when she said that her roommate and multiple friends have celiacs or gluten allergies and she even went back to her apartment to get g-free soy sauce that we could get use at an awesome hibachi restaurant. Thanks Grace!
And, just now, I was looking around blogspot and found this blog:http://glutenfreephilly.blogspot.com/2009/09/news-notes_25.html
check it out, its amazing! the list of restaurants with g-free menus is awesome. Olive Garden, Five Guys, the Pop Shop! YEAH BABY!
Also, I found some g-free apps for my ipod touch. pretty cool stuff.
and there is a bakery opening on South Street in November with g-free pastries and I will definitely have to go, so if you're interested, let's plan a trip!
Hey Jen, Glad to hear things have been going so well!!! Have you been to Pasta Pomodoro in Voorhees? They just won the People's Choice award (again) last week at the Philly Gluten-Free Cooking Spree. We went last night. Christine got GF raviolis and John had the GF pizza. Both had the GF garlic bread which is awesome. I had a grilled veggie focaccia sandwich which happened to be GF, on the GF garlic bread--excellent.
ReplyDeleteno way! I'll have to check it out! it's in Eagle Plaza right? I know I've heard of it. GF garlic bread huh? sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteOMG, the garlic bread is the best. I ordered the GF version of the veggie sandwich just to get the garlic bread. We always order an extra one to go.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're managing on the new diet Jen.
ReplyDeleteHow have you been feeling? I am hoping that since you ran 3 miles yesterday, you may be feeling better.
I have a gift card to Pizzeria Uno so maybe we can meet for lunch there some day. I'll be around with the kiddees tomorrow (Tuesday) and Friday, if you're free let me know.
I found a recipe for chicken coated in crushed tostitos. Yum!
